Modern version of letterpress is call Flexographic Printing Machine. Flexo printing process is widely used for printing various types of substrate including metallic, plastic, films, paper, and cellophane. This machine is most commonly known as Flexo in the printing industry. This is an advance process that employs flexible relief plate to print on the nonporous substrates required. Most of the flexo machines are manufactured with cast iron machined sidewalls so as to make it robust and durable in nature. In flexo printing machines, the feeding table is topped with formical sheets as well as adjustable edge guide. Moreover, the rollers are fabricated from heavy walled seamless steel pipes. In these machines, tension adjustment can be done manually. Whereas in some modern flexo printing machines, draw rollers are fitted with adjustable cam in order to ascertain synchronization with rubber stereo to print at the exact desired position.
